Life can be a process at times, especially when you are walking with the Lord. Process can be challenging, but it worth it. There is no promise without process. So, it worth it to go the distance with God and discover the new things He has for your life. Process can feel uncomfortable at times, especially when God is refining you and exposing the things in your heart that need to be dealt with in a particular season of your life. The reason why God exposes those things and certain issues during the process, is because they cannot go where God wants to take you. There are some things that you would need to leave behind before you step into the promise that God has given you. He doesn’t want you to hold onto multiple fears, worries, burdens, bitterness, pain, past habits and cycles, unforgiveness, etc. Because, if you do hold onto them they can become an obstacle and hindrance that can prevent you from moving forward with God, stepping closer to your promise to eventually walk in it.
Sometimes during process it can be difficult to see the whole picture of what God is doing. That’s why you need to trust Him and understand that He knows what He is doing, even if it doesn’t make sense to you. Trust the One who is working behind the scene and causing all things to work together for your good according to His purposes for your life. He’s a good, good Father and only wants the best for you. He know what you need and He loves you through and through. God doesn’t expect you to be perfect or have it all together. He understand that sometimes process can be messy, but it’s a beautiful mess. You don’t have to try to fix anything or clean up your life because God is the One who fixes you as you yield to Him. He accepts you just the way you are, however He loves you too much to leave you the way you are.
Doing process with God is a lifelong journey of being undone by Love- being undone by His Presence. It’s in the undoing that you discover your purpose. And that is to simply worship and love Him, the more you discover His love for you. That’s the best thing that anyone can ever do- is to love the King and live a life of utmost worship unto Him. Jesus is worthy of all worship and affection, isn’t He? I certainly believe He is. And I long to live a life that tells such a beautiful story of that. What about you? Wouldn’t you want to worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords with everything you have for the rest of your life, whilst your choosing to trust God with the process you’re doing with Him?
It’s important to learn how to steward the process well and this involves taking time to listen to what God is saying to you every single day.
Allow yourself to get marinated in God’s Word and Presence. Allow Him to draw near and speak to you. Learn to breathe in the peace of His Presence and breathe out any fears or anxieties. Learn to let go of what was and embrace what is. Allow God to show you, teach you and transform you. Embrace the new things that He has for you in this season. Most importantly, trust God with the process.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
