The Journey

God longs to take you on a beautiful journey with Him. He longs to reveal more of His heart and who He is to you. The Father loves you so much and has great and glorious plans for your life. These plans that God has for your life are so much bigger and better than you expect them to be. Although….the greater the promise, the longer the journey can be. Though the journey can be hard at times it’s for your own good. Along this journey God invites you to go deeper in Him and to draw closer to Him. And as you accept that invitation, He will draw near to you.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you……”James 4:8 NKJV

God has designed you for intimacy with Him. He wants you to experience more of His goodness and love. As you keep on this journey with Him, you will begin to experience more of His goodness and love. As you experience this, you begin to understand how much you mean to the Creator of the Universe. He longs to sweep you up in His arms, embracing you and wooing you. God wants to be with you. The Father longs for you. He desire to do this journey with you despite how many mistakes you have made or are still making. His love is unconditional and sanctification is a journey. Along this amazing path that God has for your life, it’s important that you remain in His Word, abiding in Him. For when you do abide in Jesus and follow His teachings, you are remaining in the truth, for He is the Truth. And as you remain in Him, He remains in you. And eventually you will bear fruit that will bring God glory.

Throughout your life God will continue to lead you, teach you and guide you as your surrender to His plans and purposes for your life. Sometimes this can feel quite scary, but it is actually the safest thing that you can do- putting your whole life into the hands of the Great I AM, who knows and understands what us best for you. Surrender is not a one off decision or choice, it is a daily lifestyle to embrace and value. God wants you to surrender all your needs, desires, dreams, ways and plans to Him. Because only He knows how to truly meet those needs, desires and dreams according to His ways and plans.

God is calling you come up higher with Him. He is calling you to go from glory to glory. This transformation is a journey and process. It is something beautiful that God does continuously within you as you continuously say yes to His will and not yours. This is a powerful process, yet can feel so uncomfortable because God moulding us more and more into the likeness of His Son which involves the dying off of the flesh. However, there is greater freedom and more of God on the other side. God desires that for you. He wants you to experience greater freedom where there was once bondage and more of Him. But to experience more of Him and His presence you need to count the cost and learn the art of sacrifice. Once you know how much God loves you, you will be able to accept the cost, because He is your everything. Allow God to come and mark you with delight and brand you with His love for the sake of His Kingdom.
